High School Bands

Huron High School, located on the shores of Lake Erie, serves 450 students in grades 9-12. The Huron High School Band program involves approximately 60 of these students.

The Huron High School Band consists of the Concert Band, Tiger Marching
Band, and PepBand. The Huron Tiger Marching Band begins rehearsals in August,
and rehearses three times a week throughout the Fall season. The Tiger Marching
Band has performed at The University of Akron, The University of Toledo,
Lakewood Band Invitational, Avon Lake High School Band Festival, and various
OMEA sanctioned competitions throughout the state. In addition, the ensemble
has been featured at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom in 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010.

The Concert Band meets daily and is comprised of all students in the Marching
Band. The Concert Band performs between 5 and 6 concerts a year, and has
received Superior and Excellent ratings at the Ohio Music Education Association’s
District and State contests. Seating auditions for the Concert Band take
place in October, and rehearsals begin during the first week of November.
