THE HURON CITY SCHOOL BANDS

The 7th, 8th, and High School Band concert that was originally scheduled for next Thursday at 7:00pm has been move up to 6:30pm. The concert will proceed as planned after starting a half hour early.

Congratulations to the members of the 7th and 8th grade concert bands. Both bands performed and received a “Superior” rating overall at the OMEA large group adjudicated event on May 10th in Upper Sandusky, OH. The McCormick bands will be performing their contest selections at a concert in the auditorium at McCormick on Thursday, May 21st.

Students form the McCormick J.H. 7th and 8th Grade bands participated in the OMEA Solo and Ensemble contest at Genoa High School on Saturday, April 4th. The students from McCormick performed in a total of 29 events and were awarded 22 “superior” and 7 “excellent” ratings.

The High School and 8th Grade band concert that is scheduled for Monday, December 15th has been moved back to 7:30pm.  The original time of 7:00pm conflicted with a swim meet.   The high school band room will open at 6pm for students to pick up their uniforms.  All band students should report to the McCormick band room at 7:00pm.
