THE HURON CITY SCHOOL BANDS

The High School concert band will be participating in the state level of OMEA large group contest on Saturday, May 2nd, at Findlay High School. The Huron band won the right to participate at the state level by receiving a “Superior” rating at the district contest in March.

The band will perform in the auditorium of Findlay H.S. at 9:30am on Saturday morning. Family and friends are encouraged to support the Huron band by coming to the performance, but are reminded that photography or recording devices of any kind may result in the band being disqualified. So leave the camera’s at home!

Students form the McCormick J.H. 7th and 8th Grade bands participated in the OMEA Solo and Ensemble contest at Genoa High School on Saturday, April 4th. The students from McCormick performed in a total of 29 events and were awarded 22 “superior” and 7 “excellent” ratings.
